Well here are some pics of the last dinosaur. Enjoy them because I feel that forces are already in play which will cause them to end up like the Case collection and a few other american company collections have ended up when these companys went broke and had auctions. There are several groups that are trying to glom the whole thing ( and not to preserve them for posterity ). These good old boys have the bucks and are playing for keeps. It would be nice if these were sold piece by piece so that perhapes a lot of people could at least get a part of the history. Well maybe that will happen. But I do not suggest you bet on it. Some how if you stand downwind just right you can get a wiff of that Shakespearian wind from Denmark. Here are some pics. It reminds me of an old Johnny Cash song he used to sing one piece at a time. By the way what was the name of the group that sang with Johnny Cash. Humm sounds like the same ( name could be used for these good old boys.) Look for a Coup and then paying big collectors prices to get one of these from the dealers involved.

I guess this will mark me lousy but, Hell that has happened before. Please contact the Thomas Auctioneers and tell them you want an honest auction where these are sold piece by piece so everyone gets a fair shot. The kicker is that they want to ( after selling these either individually or by display ) want to offer the whole collection to anyone willing to pay 10 percent over the total of all the bids. This effectively cancels out anyone but the big boys. They will also accept a stocking horse bid which means that someone can bid the whole thing and if the individual totals do not come up to the bid that guy gets the whole thing. This works fine with machinery but not in a knife auction. These auctioneers sell factorys and machinery they have no concept of a knife auction. So That is the straight of it. I can hardly wait to see how this cluster comes out on the 28th. By the way the Schrade name ect are also up for grabs AH SOOO. Of course I am probably wrong about all of this ( Just like I was 3 years ago when on said on this forum that Schrade was in trouble ). Yup I am just a doggone paranoid which brings to mind the saying expect nothing and you will never be disappointed. See Ya at the Cluster er auction. By the way pictures are sideways ect my computer is screwed up as I mentioned in another posting but this will give you an idea, and this is only part of it and I wanted you all to at least see it ASAP. LT

fifth group. There are more and just as many not on display. But this should give you an idea assuming you can see the pics. I am not working under ideal conditions. In fact me on a computer is always an immediate handicap. LT

The last pic shows some of the Imperial/Schrade miitary knives... there is the 'E' Flag there in the center, that represents... I think it was an award from the War Department for excellence in meeting production demands. Camillus was also given the award. It was just a little thing to congratulate the workers for doing their part in the war effort. At least that is all how I understand it. Perhaps Frank T. will drop in and correct me if I am wrong. I'd imagine he'd be bidding on this, being so heavily into military knives, and I think he is the acknowledged expert on them.

I see some toothpiks in the second pic. Hey, you guys that are going to be there... I'm good for $100 for anything you can get for me!

LT... thanks for the photos and post.

Phil

That is some group of knives.
Thanks for the pictures, LT.

I'm guessing the Tennessee 2 or 3 are not singing Backup on this song (auction). If it's true that ...... (rhymes with "Carnival Barker") is in the mix, I'm sure he'll discover a little old German guy, locked in a storeroom, making "Safety Push Button" and "Flylock" knives by the hundreds, all NEW, OLD stock of course. He'll probably find a way to sell them, legally, to new collecters, as well.

Anyway, glad we have a bit of action in here.
LT, since you have an older computer, try leaving a glass of red wine for it. I do, and it's always gone the next day. ;)
