Well, you guys were right... it is a slippery slope downhill when it comes to these knives. A couple of weeks ago, I bought my first piece of INFI. Suddenly, in less than a month, I have spent a thousand frickin' dollars on Busse blades, and I know exactly who to blame for around 60% of it. And that's you, Tyrkon Lawson. Thanks to your videos, I found myself drooling again despite already having one piece of INFI in my possession. I thought I would be happy with just one Busse (the FFFBM... thanks BTW, PietrzakP), but NO, you just had to post those videos and make me want even more. I think the rest of the forums can agree on at least that much: You are a bad influence on me, especially financially. Please post more videos. And I hate you (in a non-hating sort of way, for making me drool for a Kensei). Oh yeah, I also "hate" Cliff Stamp for his reviews being the deciding factor that led me into buying the BM... but he should also probably get a commission from Jerry Busse, 'cause I'm pretty sure I'm not the first person he's ultimately influenced into buying one of these blades.

On a side note, does anyone have a mirror or a copy of the old article on survival.com (by Ron Hood) about the Battle Mistress that got taken out?... I'm trying to find it through web archives and whatnot, but no success so far. After trying to find it, I found Ron's post sort of talking about why the article got pulled here, but I got tired of trying to dig any further.

And if someone (hopefully a mod) catches me on the Busse/Swamprat/Scrapyard sale forums trying to purchase another item, please ban me (and my IP address range, if possible) from this board. It's for my own good.

Who else on these boards have influenced you to spend beyond budget on blades, by the way?

-Thanks

dumdeedum: I am just the symptom of the INFI disease. You blame me, I blame Dave Brown, Cobolt, and others, and the cycle goes on. :p

Congratulations on the new found addiction though. Now go use those bad boys. :D

BTW: More vids on the way in a week or less. :D I am almost finished reprofileing my AK, via Edge Pro, so I might post some with the AK soon. And I am off to mow the lawn and do "poop patrol" for my dogs :( so you never know what might happen. ;)

Have Fun bro!

I blame Rescue Mike. He is my neighbor and fellow SAR team member. I knew him long before I bought my first Busse. Actually he and my wife conspired to buy me my first Busse for my birthday. So I guess I blame them both. He is also the one who introduced me to the forum. I'm going to blame him for getting sucked into this also. By the way I have two knifes now. I guess I've got Infifever now.

NO REGRETS!!!:D

dumdeedum!! Post some pics!! :)

Oh, and yes... Tyrkon Lawson was my AK enabler...

It's essentially viral. I'm sure if I tried to mathematically model the disease there would be some recognizable mathematical progression (I'm praying it's only geometric and not exponential).

People like Tyrkon and I are just recent victims and therefore members of the latest generation of the diseased. It wouldn't be right to blame us -- we were once innocent bystanders, too, until we got just a little too close.

Nowadays, well, No Regrets!!:D

OP: Is it logical to conclude then that the virus has mutated and therefore become more of a threat to CC, bank accounts, and relationships on a global scale?

There's always a certain amount of mutation with every generation.

What with all the turmoil in the world, global warming, sunspots, and that kind of thing -- I wouldn't be surprised to learn the newest variant was more 'lethal' than the last strain!

There's probably no hope for any of us. :(

Still...No Regrets!:D

i think you're all talking about the swine flu... right?

I would characterize it as the Swinish Flu. The Swine Flu is a much simpler and less tenacious strain...far more easily treated with simple antivirals and modern topicals. The Swinish Flu has, to my knowledge, no real treatment -- probably not even any palliative.

It's a sad day when another man or woman goes down. But ... it does happen every day.

No Regrets.

I blame him too!

For some reason I had an uncontrollable urge to purchase and AK47 after reading his posts. Still can't figure out why...

And folks really, really don't want to be cured of the Swinish Flu.....

Welcome to the trough dumdeedum.

Best to decide now if your spouse/partner will know all or not..... ;)

I slipped my better half some INFI on a camping trip and that was all it took. ;)
