Comparison shot of my only modern dogleg GEC with a few oldies:

Left to right:
Ulster 1876-1941 ebony
GEC 56 ebony
HSB 1855-1960 ebony
Krakauer-Zork-Moye's SOCS Inc 1885-1914 bone

The obligatory period reference, showing an HSB in the 1886 HSB catalog:

Is a "Cocoa handle" what we call Cocobolo today? I see Ebony and Stag listed as options, so Cocoa is...?

Yes that is Coco in today's terms.

Fantastic worn bone on the last one, a real stunner. Thanks for showing your display and the catalogue, always a welcome inclusion.

I have two GEC Dogs: Tidioute Barehead in a Caramel Bone and a Northfield Ebony Barehead, both of these are Spear blades which I think GEC does well. A pattern that doesn't get the attention it merits, I reckon.

Thanks, Will
