They sure knew what made a desirable knife a century ago!! I just got these beauties in the mail, among the last bunch from an Empire collection that I bought. I picked these out for this thread because I normally don't go for lock backs, but these guys won me over!! Worn, but still working perfectly, and looking good! Have you got any real oldies to show us?? Put 'em here please!!! We're not expecting perfect knives here, just some character, and a little experience at life:D !!
These are very likely from well before WWII, and could be 100 years old!

Can you send us a pic, SnS?? Or email me one and I'll post it! Very worn is good! We're not necessarily looking for safe queens here! (but we'll take 'em!)

Hi everyone. Great thread...very much looking forward to seeing your old knives. In the mean time, here is an old Sheffield-made stag penknife from the late 1800s.

Thanks again. This is a large penknife...almost 4 inches long. I do not know who made it. Army and Navy was a large dept store in the west end of London from the 1870s to early 1900s.

Here's one I found today in my mothers attic. I believe it belonged to my great grandfather.

Wow Duckman, that one is very close to the new issue Schatt Premier #7. I hope my Schatt has that much character 50-100 years from now.

Sam, Thanks I was thrilled to find it. I found it in a chest in the attic that dates from 1840-1860 that has been in my family. I'm guessing it belonged to my great grandfather. George

Thanks bladerunner and everyone! Here's a 6245P in red winterbottom! Keep 'em coming please. They make me feel young!!:D
