Some old tradition with some high tech materials.
Just finished!

Titanium frame d2 blade.

I make the MAXX II in 3 , 4 , 5.5 and 7 inch sizes with pearl, ironwood, carbon fiber, snakewood, ivory andother materials.

Pins can be added to any of them if you wish.

All the MAXX II'S have a hand rubbed finished blade and body~!

They will be available with the power assist soon also along with my other knife styles.

Enjoy!

I saw this baby on the CKD, and thought "Damn--what a great combo of old and new!" And then here it is again, with this as the title.

Just about as beautiful and appealing a knife as I have seen. This has it all! Great work and ideas, Darrel!

Darrel - do the handles have an overall contour (convex) shape, or are the edges just eased? It is hard for me to tell from these photos.

Hi
Every (all styles) knife I make now days has a contoured face(rounded).
They are all convex. I hand grind the contour on to fit the hand much nicer. Then they are hand rubbed.

This one kind of has the look of a San Francisco style knife. To me, it is one of the nicest that you have made.

Darrel; you da' man. Don't ever stop making knives, because someday I will be able to afford them and I'll make you rich! Beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing.

Gorgeous work, Darrel. I can't wait to see my DLC coated one with pearl inlays now. :)
Nice filework, too!

The best part about this particular beauty......It's mine!:D

Darrel is also making a twin to it with a bowie blade! At least, he better be!

Thanks for the kind words.
Tom,
I think the pearl and black will be exquisite!

Dirk Im keeping it sorry.:D

Keith,
This is combination of Sheffield bowie and a Michael Price SF dagger.

For all that are interested I have been updating my web site for the last few weeks.
There are now pictures of most of the new designed knives that I have been working on.

Darrel,

Nice work! The look of that handle is very appealing, and it looks to be comfortable too.
