This is the first khukuri I have ever seen with a paratrooper badge for a keeper on the buttcap. I had to chuckle when I saw it. They come up with something new every shipment.

Anyway, this is a tough and pretty beefy 13.5 inch village model. About 1 pound and almost 1/2 inch thick. Fit and finish are pretty decent. The kami has the blade hardened up to maybe 55 or 56 and it has a decent edge. I am not positive but fairly sure this is a partial tang with the unique paratrooper badge keeper to distract us from that fact.

Karda and chakma are typical village size and quality.

The scabbard is very well done and the frog is okay.

Overall a fairly decent little rig and the one and only village paratrooper model in the world as far as I know.

We will deliver this little one of a kinder to you door for $55.

Call or email if interested.

E-mail sent on this one, Uncle.

If this was being sold on E-bay, (by someone else of course) it would be:

How about if we apply to HMG for commissions in the Nepalese Navy? Send enough "palm grease" and it might work.

Maybe this kuk celebrates that old story about the General who goes and asks for Gurkha volunteers to be air-dropped behind enemy lines, and is astonished to find only about a third of the Paltan step forward... until the Subedar whispers to him to tell the troops now that they will be issued with parachutes...

If you guys could see the medical device attached to my leg...4 pins about 3/16" diameter sticking out of mylower left leg...2 up near the knee and two down near my ankle...connected by an anodized and black aluminum "erector set" apparatus...you would probably think me a "leg" regardless.

Medical science and the Higher Power are amazing, though. I am walking with just the aid of a cane...and pardon me ladies, I am finally able to take care of certain manly business in the head whilst standing up.

My hope is to be free of this device, and the abominable back brace I am wearing, by Christmas...I hope I am being realistic this time.

Surely, though, I can occupy a desk job in HM's Navy until I heal up.

Sorry Guys,
I've been up to my butt in 'gators and I can't find the da-- drain plug for the swamp.

From what I've seen of that river, the very "Brown Water Navy" would need jet powered Zodiacs. Under present circumstances, Each boat would need two M-60's and a swivelmounted "Bloop-tube". Standard four man crew: Coxwain/boat-captin/Engineman, Radio man/loader, Boatswains mate/gunner, and a Gunnersmate.

Life expectancy for these operations: Six weeks if you're lucky. Sign up?????

been there, done that!................oh why not! I want to get to drive this time though.

How about those floridated whatchamacallits? You know, those shallow draft thingies with the motor and air propellor mounted as a pusher at the back of the boat?

Hey, Unc, what would a Continental or a Lycoming sound like with a set of glass packs?

I wonder if some enterprising kami will then decide to put two crossed khukuris on the buttcap.

I kind of thought of Bill taking up the post of Secretary to the Navy, or some other equally outlandish post. Perhaps Mohd or someone sensible should step in here and make some appointments... We are down at least two Admirals!

How about hovercraft? Not strictly naval vessels, but could be handy...
