I received a couple requests to see the knife I set aside to go with me to Ohio this fall. I have been trying to set one aside a month, so my summer isn't so hectic.

This one is forged from a Nicholson file (w1) I left some of the lines from the file on the blade, so its previous life would be apparent. I clay coated it and used some real nice box elder burl handle material.

The sheath is leather with my "H" style loop.

Once again Bailey, you have the finest lines out there. I also think your work and James Todd G10 are a perfect combination.

Thanks everyone. I am really happy with how the sheath turned out, actually, I kind of like the whole package.

Matt, your work is fantastic!!! Thanks for showing that!

Matt, I want you to try to make an ugly knife.
Go ahead. I dare you.
I bet you can't do it.
:p;):D

Trust me, often one turns into a test knife because I screw up a grind line or something. I either get frustrated and snap it in the vise, or wrap the handle in duct tape and go hacking, then toss out the knife afterwards.

I think I just cried a little. If you ever, and I mean ever take a blade and tape up the handle and use it for chopping testing, please don't throw it away, send it to me, and I will love it and rehandle it, and name it George!:D
