So after nearly a decade of collecting , I have over 30 high end production knives. Spyderco, benchmade, ZT, Cold Steel, Buck and kershaws. Out of them all, I came to find that the most ''Right'' folder is none other then the well proven Para 2. Everything about the design feel perfect. The size and weight is most well carried, the blade steel and shape awesome and the ergos are stellar! + the compression lock is very strong and pretty cool if you ask me. I doubt the knife could benefit from further notable improvements.

To you all guys, what is your favorite Para 2 version and why? I think I'd like to get the Bento box shop blue M390 if it ever becomes available again. Do you guys think it is worth the extra cash?

The bladehq M4 steel with jade G10 scales is pretty sexy. I dunno if it dropped yet though.

My current favorite version is the CTS204P model but I hope to snag a M4 version when it becomes available. I would knot change one thing and that is to use slightly thinner stock. If it had the same blade thickness as the Stretch I would be in heaven.

The CTS204P version was my favorite, but the S110V version has replaced it--the example I got just happens to have a really perfect action.

My favourite is still the smurf

i just like the plane-old black/silver/S30V!the sprints are just to much money.

XHP black version is my favorite. XHP is my favorite SS, with S110V up there too. When/if a CRUWEAR comes out, then that one. If you don't care about blue vs. green get the CTS 204P green one. Same steel as blue M390 pretty much, and cheaper. M4 is good stuff too, may want to wait on one of those

I agree that the PM2 is about the perfect EDC.

My favorite version? More! :D

In all seriousness, though, the S110V is hard to beat.

I really like my PM2 but it's longer than I need on a daily basis. I'm really looking forward to the new 3 inch "PM3". I think if that knife ends up being a mini-PM2 like many are hoping, it will end up taking the place of my Ritter Mini-Grip that's in my pocket 90% of the time.

No ifs about it. Many have seen it including myself. I had seen and handled it more than once. It is a mini Para2. :)

I am gonna throw this out there. The Elmax version rocks. It might not have been a great value but I am glad I got it as it is a great knife. Long after the pain of getting gouged by BBS subsided I am left with nothing more than a great knife. It was a tough pill to swallow at the time but I am glad I did.

I might be the last one on the bus here but I finally picked up a digi/dlc PM2 yesterday - and wow - now I get why there are legions of fans everywhere. Agreed, the size, weight, length and how it fits my hand In full grip on the handle are near perfect for me. And when not using the finger choil the Military and Stretch are the only others I've found that don't feel too far behind the blade when cutting. The lock is extraordinary. I've always thought a lock (liner, frame, back) is just a lock but this compression lock adds to the fluidity of actual use. I'll echo bearfacedkiller that reducing blade thickness to that of a Stretch would be the only change I would make. So, my favourite is my one and only, but I must admit I'm already eyeing the S110v. Oh boy...

I have only one pm2: the plain Jane digicam/dlc, and it is good enough for me such that I do not want to try out other variants of PM2 :)

I've always found the PM2 to be just "eh". Nothing wrong with it. It's just alright IMO.

But I've always had a fondness of the digicam G10 version. That'd be my pick (satin S30V blade).

I always hoped that Spyderco would offer other knives with digicam G10.

I can never resist many of the sprints. But, I'd have to say the the Black/Satin S30V may be my favorite steel/combo overall.

Best and most versatile edc folder at that price IMO. Lock works great for either hand, just slightly better for right hand. My most used folder together with the Endura.

I'd say the S110V version is hard to beat, especially considering performance per dollar compared to the other "exotic" steel options.

I definitely agree with OP about the perfection of the Para2. I actually stopped buying any knives for about 3 years because nothing could beat the Para 2. I only started up again because I wanted something a little smaller. You can imagine my excitement for the Para 3.

My favourite is also the S110v after I got rid of the burple scales.

It is definitely worth the extra money
