The one real negative of having an axis lock...

I can't stop playing with my axis knife...

I keep grabbing my BM Mini-Griptilian and flicking it open and closed in front of the TV. My wife and kids keep complaining that I play with it too much, and the "clicking" sound is driving them crazy.

But I'm addicted. I can't stop flicking the knife open and closed... It's the fastest opening knife I have, even faster than my Kershaw assisted openers, and the fastest to close. I can open and close in a split second.

Too addicting. These knives should come with a warning label - too addictive to play with all the time. :o

Maybe if you open it enough it will wear the pivot and you can get another :D

yeah...

Same here:p

My wife gets annoyed at me for the same thing. I'll see one of mine laying around and cycle it open and closed a dozen or two times. The constant clicking drives her nuts!

had similar probs with bali...
get youself a Baliyo... much safer (and quieter too) to play indoors

The other negative of having an axis lock is that once you one own, you start to wish that your other non-Benchmade brand folders had axis locks. :(

I have an advantage in that department. My wife is deaf. However when I open my Manix she can feel the lock engage though the vibration in the floor. And that is a good thing.

my roommates were the same way until i convinced one of them to buy a grip and now he does it too, our other two roommates must be going insane :)

Holly crap, thats amazing :)

Axis lock knives are great, but I no longer have any axis locks and yet I still have the problem of opening and closing my knives constantly.
