I'm putting this up for a change of pace.

Is there a knife you sold, and now wish you would have kept?

Is there a knife you didn't buy, and now wish you would have?

And, is there a knife you sold/lost/gave away, that you were later re-united with?

Pictures are good.

I can't think of a knife like that. I have sold a revolver that I feel that way about but I have been pretty happy with my knife purchases. Actually I have downsized my knife collection. I now have a small Sebenza that is replacing a custom that replaced all of my other knives. The only rason I replaced my custom is fear that I won't be able to replace or reapir it if necessary.

I have 2 Gerber Yari's(original style, plain edge) that I bought many years ago. One is my primary outdoor blade and is well used.I even get to carry it at work on most days.
The othe one is stored new in the box in the safe.
I wish I had bought a few more of these, as they really are wonderful knives.

There was a Large Regular Sebenza I didn't buy that I wish had. Oh well, no more money for other things.

Swamp Rat Chopweiler....got her for a good price but then let her go later on. Should have kept her.

Back in 1980, at the local mall in Oceanside, Cal. was a display case with two Randall knives in it. One was a # 1-7 and the other was a #2-7 (I think). I was an E-1 at the time and I lusted for the #1 Randall which was priced at 200 dollars. That amount was my whole 2 week pay check and I thought long and hard. The day I figured I'd buy it, somebody beat me to it. Two weeks later on a Regiment hump (seemed like every Friday before liberty) I seen that Randall strapped the LBE of the Regimental commander. Damn, I still regret not buying that blade even today and might have spurred impulse buys and a 3 day wait rule.

I REALLY wish I was into knife collecting when the Kershaw Blurs in various colors came about so I could have bought the ones I'm now missing at a more economical price point. Blues are ASTRONOMICAL IF you can even find them and a non-blem S60V is almost mythical. :(

Almost bought a Skirmish and Rukus, but didn't. Now they're disco'd and I want them still. Luckily, I over research my knives so I rarely buy one that I'll sell later on.

Sold my Spyderco Pacific Salt to raise some cash, and now that I want to replace it they are getting very hard to find in Australia due to increasingly tough customs laws.

I did buy a Fallkniven S1 a year or so ago, took it round to show to a local guy on the Aus Blade Forum, he took one look and said, "that's the one I sold to the guy you bought it from."

Nope. Got all mine since i was a kid. 49 yrs old now.

EDIT : When i was young, i saw a knife made by BUCK. Loved the looks & shape of it. Now that i am a knife enthusiast----LUCKY ME----It is the BUCK Frontiersman---which has been re-introduced again !!! Yeah !!!! I will put that on my Christmas wish list or just buy one. Don't get that chance too often. :D

I had an 'almost' just last week. I was horsetrading with someone here, and I agreed to give up 2 CRK knives for something well worth it. One of those knives was my first CRK, and African Blackwood inlaid small Sebenza. After I agreed to the trade, I found myself thinking how much I'd miss it, and posted a pic of it here. The person I was trading with saw my post, and said he didn't feel right taking it. So we talked for a while, and came up with another knife that he wanted. I still have my first CRK, and we still did the trade.

I know now that I won't put that one on the block again.

I usually say that with guns, but I do wish I had kept my Cold Steel Hatamoto. Don't know why, I just miss that one....

I wish I wouldn't have let my BM 51-1101 or ZT 0551 go.
I should have bought that Small Sebenza Insingo I saw for $280 a few months back.
And I was reunited with a Spyderco Para 2 - Very pleased. I also got a ZT 0550 - Next best thing to the 0551.

geeze, just one? dont you know that when it comes to knives anything, their is never just one for us?

I regret not buying ankersons ad10 or theknifedudes 4max. I own an ad10, and im awaiting a 4max, but still.

I also narrowly missed a patrick nisheir active duty that i probably could of driven and picked up from the seller.

I passed up a direware solo v2 that oddly sat on a website for longer then a few hours. ditto for various hinderers.

I decided on a elishewitz/george cereburus but fell asleep before i could finalize the order. woke up, it was gone.

years ago when strider first introduced the RC, I just about got one. obviously i sat on my thumb over it, and now they are hard to find.

zt500? the G&G hawk model, should of been a no brainer.

this is a depressing night now!

I sold an original Buck Vanguard which I think was ATS-34 steel and had the rubber handle on it. I only paid something like $50 for it at the time, and it was a great hunting knife. I guess I could track down another one, but I have too many already. A new one costs almost double that now.
