Have you ever seen a knife you hesitated on? Then made the decision to get it, only to find out that hesitation resulted in someone else getting the knife?

Here is the one that got away from me back in 2013:

I saved the pic because I'm still planning on finding it one day! :o
 
Dang Justin, that is a beautiful blade. It looks expensive too; it probably ended up in LW collection! What is the website you saw it in?
 
Just had a small burl annual get away. I know nyefmaker saw that one too. $450 I think. Maybe less... I'm still kicking myself.

Lol......I had this one in my cart, but just as I was going to check out they posted a Box Elder Basketweave Damascus Large Sebenza and I opted for that instead. I would have still snagged it but had 4 others inbound at the time, so had to pass. Was a beautiful design though for sure. Was hard to pass up with my love for the UG's. Especially In Damascus...!!!
 
If you guys/gals only knew of the ones I have missed out on, you would be nauseous.....!!!

Does not matter! It offsets all those missed pieces with the freakin fantastic 4 rare pieces you got for probably the deal of the century.. Including a freakin panda...
 
Yes, yes I have. I figured it just wasn't meant to be. :mad:
This may sound strange to some, but I have bought two CRK's that didn't belong to me. I was all stoked when I got them, but in hand, as desirable as they were, it didn't feel right.
Low and behold, about a week later, the owner posted in the WTB forum. I felt better once the knives were with their rightful owner. Weird, I know :eek:

It all evens out in the end..... Just like with everything else in life....!!!!

Lol. Thomas, as far as I am concerned.. you came out as a winner on my book for the greatest finds and deals of the century with those 4 special pieces... :D

Both were large Sebenza's, they were bought from different people. The buyer turned out to be the original owner.
I've never made a profit from selling knives, I've always taken a loss or get back what I paid for it. I guess I'm in the small minority that buys high and sells low. :)

This one just got away.. literally, just now. I was told about where to find one today by forum members, asked the website owner a question about it this afternoon (birthdate). I just got an email with a picture of the birth card, and a message that all his CRK knives including that one had been purchased by another website. Poof! Just like that... so I already had my Starbenza up for sale on the Exchange, saw the email and took it down...:(
