I present the last two folders I will probably ever buy. Made by Andrew Demko, the Bunker Buster weighing in at only 19.5 ounces, and the 4Max weighing 10.5 ounces.

Bunker Buster, specs. Hardened 440C liners, integral bolsters, and backspacer. 1/4" pivot, and stop pin. Textured titanium scales, and clip. 3.5 inch long, .230 thick, 61-62 RC Elmax blade, with clip point / Spanto hybrid shape. Ball bearing pivot system with custom Teflon washer seals. 1 of 1 TriAd lock ;) After I got my original AD-10 two years ago, I almost immediately started thinking about something to top it. I decided to throw weight and efficiency out the window, and just think of the most ridiculous design possible. Even with it's enormous weight it feels surprisingly well balanced. I feel like I could probably shatter someones jaw striking them with my fist clenched around it. This is probably the strongest folder that will be made for a long long time, even if the handle is ridiculously over engineered.

4Max, is one of Demko's newer models that I tweaked a little bit. This knife is more practical. .070 Ti liners, with integral bolsters, and back spacer. Heavy blasted Carbon Fiber scales. Also has 1/4" pivot and stop pin. 4.2 inch long, .200 thick, 61-62 RC CPM154 blade. With the same pivot bearing system. This knife is amazingly well balanced, and fairly thin for its size. It's weight is all blade, unlike my own AK47 Frankenstein.

Both these knives have an unusual feel when they are opened, and closed because of the unique pivot system. I have literally sold off the rest of my once large collection of custom folders because they don't hold a candle to these, and rather disappointing lockup performance. My life is complete as far as knives go, it's time to finish my SHTF vest. I highly recommend Demko's knives to anyone that wants a little more from their folders, contact him here. demkoknives@yahoo.com icon_salute2.gif

What if I told you...there's this thing called a fixed blade? :D

Definitely some cool looking knives, but I couldn't see myself ever carrying one.

Wow! You definitely nailed the "over the top" factor on the bunker buster. Really like the grind on it. But, do you actually carry that?!

I have several fixed blades like choppers, and Tantos. To my own interpretation of a WW1 trench knife, and a modernized Cutlass both designed by me that will be done by Reese Weiland soon.

To early to say for sure. Every time I pick up the Bunker Buster I can't help but chuckle a bit. They are both marvelous...

While I don't think I'd ever carry something like it, I think I'd have to say the Bunker Buster design looks a bit cooler to me. Enjoy them.

Congrats on 2 excellent knives. Andrew Demko does make some pretty great folders, and he is an old school craftsman for sure. Handmade all the way.

How's their cutting performance?

I haven't done any real work yet, but they both came with a very nice polished edge. The 4Max is nice and thin right before the edge begins, and so is the Bunker Buster, except for near the tip. Deep hollow grind is very nice too. The edge holding should be above average for the pair.

Is there anything Andrew won't do for an order? Seems he will work with any thickness blade, any thickness liner, any scale material, any backspacer, integral bolsters, any grind, any steel, any hardness. Thumb disc instead of stud, no problem. Make the blade longer than original spec, no problem. Got my first one fully DLC coated on all metal parts, ground on a 14" wheel, and had the thumb disc opener over the studs. Got the second one in 3V with a convex grind, which he hadn't done much with, but had no issue in applying to the blade. The level of customization he offers for these working/tactical folders is simply awesome.

 Woah Those Are Crazy Awesome!
I Don't Have A Weight Limit On My EDC But I Think You Went Over It Quite A Bit With The Bunker Buster Lol.
I Would Love To Have An Awesome Custom Made, Maybe One Day. =]

These are the most over-the-top, impractical, crazy, and unnecessary folders I have ever laid my eyes upon.

But they're awesome :D

How much were those? I really want that insanely huge one, I have a friend who would legitimately carry that around. Hes a huge guy, so he needs a huge knife!

(he's 6'7, 315 lbs haha)
