I was wondering which knives some of you have had over time, but sold for some reason or another, and wished that you hadn't. I have more guns that I would say that about as I am fairly new to the knife game. Used them all my life, but they were just a tool for me. I didnt start seeing them for thier beauty till a year or two ago. So, if you are like me and have more firearms to chime in about over blades then feel free. Also, what was it about that knife or gun, the way it felt in your hand, the way it cut or chopped, the craftsmanship.

Missed knives and guns, GO!

udtjim, was there any special ones, that always seem to get stuck in your mind?

Rockywolf, I have heard that a lot from guys, those two knives seem to stand out. Guys you dont know what you have till its gone sometimes.

Busse BA III and a SHBM! And, I'd really like the have the Benchmade Nimravus and CS Recon Tanto that were in my truck when it was stolen years back:(

You know what Walter, the SHBM is one of mine as well. I had a 1/300 SHBM that Ban Tang did his convexing to. I just couldnt bring myself to use a 1,300 dollar knife. I sold it, but I wish I could have bought a few of them when they were offered straight from Busse Combat years back.

Sorry about your truck brother, I hate people who would rather steal then work hard for what they want.

Yeah, those SHBMs are heart-breakers, that's for sure:D

For all I lost when the truck was stolen, it did turn out alright-I got the truck back, and the guy who stole it planned on keeping it so much he even took it to the shop and had a clutch put in it:p No joke-I lost the shell and all my camping gear, etc., (to the tune of $3500 restitution just recently paid off), but it ran better when I got it back:D

I have not regretted anything I have sold. I still love my original Aurora - but I didn't like the handle:

I was proud of the pants I made for it too.

Walter, thats funny as all hell. I guess there is a bright side to everything.

Tal, I would be proud of that sheath too, you have some serious skills my friend.

man o man...

I miss my Busse Black Tie Warden, and my Laconico folding nessie, and my Laconico Explorer, and my Gossman Falkniven clone I scored off Kevin Estela... What great blades those were. Other then that....No regrets.

Guns- my Springfield stainless Mil-spec, Norinco AK, and my Enfield .303 w/ parker hale barrell.

depressing thread.

I haven't sold any knives, but guns. . .

I really miss two.

One was a Springfield Mil-Spec that I did a little customizing to, nothing drastic. But it was dead on accurate and would shoot anything I gave it, no jamming. I was in a bad way and needed funds, so I sold it, thinking all 1911s were the same (this was the only one I had owned up to then). Much to my chagrin, I've never owned a 1911 since that I could get more than 4 rounds out of without it jamming.

The other was an old S&W model 29. 4" barrel, pinned and recessed. Bluing was perfect. Running the numbers, it came back a 1978 model. The previous owner must have bought it and never fired it. That thing was laser accurate, and fit my hand perfectly. But, I got laid off, and needed money to keep my truck, which I later got screwed out of by a certain family member. I now consider them to have stolen the gun and truck, and they can't understand why they get the cold shoulder from me.

Not a knife, but, my first hand gun was a S&W 686+ w/ a 4" barrel. It was sweet as hell and rifle accurate to 100m. I sold it and bought a Glock 19, which is also a nice shooter; but, there was something magical about that 686 in my left hand.

I wish I hadn't sold my mint bone-stag Bark River Canadian Special and orange-handled Bark River Lil' Chute. Oh well.
I did sell off a Busse Game Warden a couple years ago before I realized what a perfect little backpack knife it was. Fortunately I just scored another. I won't let this one get away so easy.
