The most recent article for the website is a piece that was inspired by discussions between students and myself during a recent workshop. The subjects were knife safety and small knife techniques to help make do with whatever one has on them at the time. The question of "what is the best knife for ______ ?" kept popping up. The running theme of the answers was that from my experiences in being under pressure, and sometimes very intense pressure, from various conditions from; simply being super excited over the largest fish I ever caught, to imminent inclement weather, vehicle mishaps in the middle of nowhere in the dark, and even physical threats against my person, the best tools for me have been the ones I'm most familiar with, that require the least amount of thought to employ and set to task.
