This is a Buffalo Horn S&M Harness Jack 1 of 1, yep you read right. This was a gift from Charlie aka WAYNORTH some years back.
One of the SFOs he had made by Schatt and Morgan.

Oh he's one of the best! Got to meet him finally, last year at the OKCA show in Eugene OR. Known each other and talked knives for years but met for the first time in person there.

That's a real nice knife - I like that one A LOT!!!

Charlie has helped many people, and we here think he is a Legend, not just for being a really nice guy - but for sharing his knowledge with us in the genuine interest of reviving the Traditional knife history that has been snatched away from us, and now they are out there - I think that's absolutely amazing!!
As for me personally - I owe it to Charlie for introducing me to Traditionals, and he has helped me tremendously with his sharing knowledge, giving me a privilege of buying some of his great knives, but to me personally......I don't like Charlie because of his "status" in the knife world, I just think hes a hang of a nice person - its just that simple.

Charlie is a Great guy, a great person, kind and generous with his knowledge.Wonderful harness jack. Congrats

Best regards

Robin

Very nice, and of course you are correct about Charlie, got to meet him on site at GEC, hope he's there next year, would like to take a bit more time to chat with him next time, as everyone was anxiously waiting to get a few moments with him.

Hey Mr. Singin, nice to hear from you, and to see that Knife again!!

That is from the first SFO, and first Harness Jacks I ever did!
Through excessive amounts of wheedling and cajoling, I talked GEC Bill, then working for Queen, into making some one-off specials, Buffalo Horn, Pearl and Stag among them.

Found a picture of them - goes back to when I used a purple (yuck):p background!

The Buffalo is on the lower right. Tony Bose has the Ebony at top. Might be a couple in Montana . . .
Maybe if anyone has one, they could post a pic, if that is OK with Singin50:confused:

You're doing just fine. :)

I don't recall ever meeting your grandmother....

:p

Beautiful knife, Singin50! Thanks for posting this. The keystone shield seems to be particularly well-proportioned in this example, and I also like the rounded handle with these blades vs. the more pointed ones I'm used to seeing.

Wow, it's great to meet all of you, some I already knew but to have Charlie himself reply is an added bonus! Charlie I will always own this knife and someday will it on to my brother, who is very envious of it. Thanks again for all the great replies.

Hey Tim, that shield is a favorite of mine too. Charlie I think I know who you're referring to about the other 2005 SFOs. Let's see, I think he don't speak no flathead you know.

Wow, those are nice. Yeah, Charlie is great people. I really like what he has done bringing the Barlow and diamond jacks back, but these knives are exquisite!

Dan and OLD, I totally agree! He should get some more made now that more are aware of the quality they posses. It might be a little harder to do this now due to time and materials available at whatever maker he choses.
