Few animals can combine beauty, grace, and power like the birds of prey. I have always love to watch them, I grew up near a lake that had a family of bald eagles living on it and I could just sit and watch them for hours on end.

I rescued one this Fall and got him to the Raptor center for rehab, but sadly it didn't make it.:(
I'll try to get the pics up.

Thanks guys. Bit of back story is, a kid I know tells me he found an Owl along the river, then shows me vid on his phone. Told him it was no Owl. Called the Raptor center, lady says "catch it and give us a call back". Ahhh, don't you guys wanna do that?
Lady says "If you can't getem, we can't either" Me "Oh":o Went home got a large landing net and a basket, and some canvas to put over it to keep it calm.
Off to the site. Long story short, I caught it without incident and called the center back. She relayed the call to the "Osprey guy" Pics are him holding it with thick leather glove. Three weeks went by with no word on the progress of recovery, so I called to inquire. Sadly the bird had damaged his Elbow so bad the cartilage was destroyed, no hope for recovery.:(
They don't use Osprey for education due to the fact they need fresh fish to feed.
All in all it was really cool to have an Osprey in my back seat for a bit.
