Changing my collections

I have decided to make a significant change in my collection. I am letting go of many blades. Some I have for sale here though I can’t link to them (you will have to find them) if you want to look.

I will be letting go about 30 HI blades all types some unique about 30 or so Ghurka house Khukuri several custom Anzas and a few misc folders and fixed.

I have recently acquired a Buck collection to add to the few I have already and plan to add more. I also have bought some cutom blades including a great GL Drew knife.
This is a big change and a real pain in the bottom region to sell ship and all that stuff. I can really appreciate dealers pain that have to do this all the time.

The only good thing is my wife is pleased that I am making such a reduction. I thought well their just toys to collect no big deal and told myself its just stuffff, but as they are bought I find that damn its getting painful. I can see why we like them but should we really be so attached?

If you didn't like them, weren't fascinated by them and the history they represent, you wouldn't have bought them in the first place.

I have parted with things I came across that I wanted in the past. I have usually regretted it later.

Take your time. If you really don't want to get rid of the thing, you will regret it if you do.

Keep your favorites, those can be nearly impossible to replace, without many years searching.

just my 2cents.;)

I agree with both of you, I am keeping several items a few that will stay and get passed to son grandson and what ever comes next.
Though I have hardly ever bought something I didn't like once in a while the time comes to make changes.
Selling and the haggling that goes on regardless of firm prices, boxing shipping is aggravating and I understand how dealers can get frustrated doing that all the time.
On the other side is the hunting finding and acquiring new items I think that all three parts make it part of the thrill.
I suppose its best not to compare the items let go with the new ones after all they are not the same are they?
