Many of us have heard the story in one form or another. Here it is in the original. To quote someone or other: "What does this have to do with khukuris? Everything".

This is a great storie! How true it is! It really makes me sick how alot of people are so against defending themselves and allowing others to defend themselves....liberals!

I think the humor of this story is in that the sheep in the story are domesticated, and doomed to the dinner plate of the men who keep them. I.E. The shepherd keeps the sheep for food, maybe wool too. The dog protects the flock because he is fed food. The wolves prey upon the flock, and are thus in competition with the shepherd, who will want to eat the sheep in time. or at least shear them for their wool.

So are the sheep really ever free?

I get the gist of the story, I jsut think the model is a bit flawed...

I'm pretty farm-ignorant but aren't some sheep kept just to sheer? Or for romance, depending on what part of the country you're in:p :barf:

so you've never eaten sheep? Goat? Bunies? (Not dust bunnies of course) Any other quadruped but beef?

I have, plus bear, deer, elk, bison, and a fair number of bird species to boot.

I think you're mostly right about the wool these days, but the Icelanders certainly ate their sheep when the chips were down. The story didn't come with an expiration date, now, did it?

Had some farm/hunt buddies in PA, treated me to all sorts of foodstuffs.

Charlie Riggs, and the KC³ organization, are pretty much the backbone of our CCDW law here in Kentucky. Reading the article will give you some insight into his attitude and abilities, and helps explain why our law is so complete and has suffered so few revisions. "They" are still out there, and boiling mad over the success of our efforts, but due to excellent preparation and close cooperation with the KSP, our law has held firmly against all the bureaucrats and liberal sheeple who would dismantle it. What's that have to do with Khukuris? Concealed Khukuris are legal, under KRS 527.080 :D

Charlie's "flock" tale has been linked many times - I don't recall posting it here, but I don't recall breakfast, either.

..and I hate for you to recall breakfast. Ugh! Messy.
