There have been a few of you forumites that have been wondering if this project really exists. I can state for a fact that it does.
Here is an update on it.

I reground the blade and then I passed it on to my twin brother and fellow forumite, Phillip Jones. He hand polished it to 400 grit. Phillip did an excellent job but the scan does not do the blade justice.

Who gets it next?

Wow Barry, that blade is beautiful!!!! I think Oz gets it next to make the guard and bolsters. Then I get it to dovetail the bolsters and ivory handles. Then it's off to Kit for soldering the guard and then I'm not sure who volunteered to put the handles and bolsters on. This is gonna be one fine blade, eventually.

Just to let you know that I am still down to have the engraving done. Looking forward to seeing the knife! Bruce Bump

Great Bruce!!!! I hope we can get this thing finished soon. I didn't realize it would take so long when I suggested it. But then, folks get busy. Take care! Michael

I have it currently. I'm still looking for a good pattern of filework for the guard that will fit with the beautiful work that's been done on it so far.
Were we going to raffle it when it's finished? My wife wants it.
