Hello everybody.
Do you remember the "basic" pass-around Bowie??(Started 1999)
I know where it is!! In Sweden,we recieved it from Denmark (Ansoe)in August and Viveca has finished the scrimshaw.I do hope that you like it, it will now be shipped back to the US and I hope that there will be some proffesional photos taken of it. Hopefully will there be some articles in , for ex. Blade magazine??!!

(I have a photo of the scrimshaw but I have trouble publishing it. "I'll be back")

Finally did I manage to transfer the picture to my website.
This is how the "frontside" of the Bowie looks like.

That scrimshaw rocks. Wow! One of the best I've seen. I'd love to see a huge pic.

The scrimshaw work is absolutely superb !

As soon as I saw it. . .I actually felt my jaw drop !

Just amazing !

Here are some more photos.

Thats the pass around bowie you read so much about in shoptalk, remember the thread you kept bumping trying to find out what was going on? Looks like its getting close :D

Awesome Anders, absolutely awesome!!!!
Give Viveca a great big hug from me!!!
The scrimshanding is out of the world!!
The engraving is incredible too! It's so deep it looks like the bolsters were cast.
You guys have really gone the extra mile with this bowie, wow!!!!

Oh yeah, I remember. Even with reading all the threads I could find on the subject, I still couldn't piece together what everyone did on the knife. I was SUPER excited to see the first pictures of it. I was no too happy how the whole thing keep fading off into the sunset without updates. But all these makers have there normal work to do as well.

I hope we can keep this one going with frequant updates now that its back in the spotlight. Such as, now that the handle is prepared. Is the knife completed?? If not, who is it off to next?? :)

I took a few pics of it before sending it to Anders and Viveca. (I made the sheath). I had it for way to long....a combination of starting fulltime and having way to much over my head I guess....things looked abit different 3 years ago or how long it is since it started....

You weren't the only one, Jens. I had it for WAY too long, too. I'm glad to see that it's finished, and I hope it gets to a very good home.
I did the guard and bolsters, but not that incredible engraving. That really is beautiful.

OUTSTANDING! What actually became of this beauty! Love to see a list of who was involved in the crafting of this Bowie.
