The Passing of a Good Friend

Dear Forumites,

It is with a heavy heart that I must tell all of you that Walt Welch passed away last Wednesday night. His daughter, Anne, asked me if I would make the annoucements on all of his favorite forums.

I know that he enjoyed being here with all of you, and lending his vast knowledge to the conversations in his usual humble manner.
His wit and his generosity will always be remembered by those of us who were fortunate enough to have known him personally.

We loved him very much, and I hope you will join me in saying "good'bye" to one of our forums most beloved characters by remembering him here.

On a related note Teryl, I'm sure you know how much Walt enjoyed his Mad Dog knives. But I wanted to let you know that he sent me pics of lots of them, just to show them off! He enjoyed talking about them in Chat, so I listened carefully. Doc was cool. I miss him.
