Subject: eskrima: Passing of a Master

Greetings,
I am sad to say that at I have been informed by Maria Presas (daughter of GM Remy Presas), that at 7:40pm eastern time Grand Master Remy Amador Presas passed away due to the effects of a brain tumor. Our prayers go out to the family that has been left behind.

Condolences to the Presas family. Let us remember that Professor wanted to share the art with as many people as he could so let us continue sharing the art in rememberance.

Robert

The FMAs has sadly lost one of its great ambassadors. RIP to GrandMaster Presas!

The measure of the man is who has publicly paid respect to him without thought of advancement thruout his long career and then thru his illness.

Tim Hartman sent that message out even as he had to be torn apart, a measure of his dedication to the man an his legacy. My own instructor speaks with revernce and respect about Remy Prensas, about how truly masterful and fluid and happy the man was thruout his career, about the sense of humor he brought to teaching, about the inovation that Remy Prensas brought to the entire FMA world.

The best has passed. Mourn his passing, the world is a lesser place.

In a way it is...in a way, the world is a much better place because he touched so many people over a very long period of time. He made alot of difference in the world.
