i think if bm made a knife like this alot of people would b happy:

blade-bowie like the pc model 402 sharpened on both sides but half an inch longer
and the tang pin like the one on the bm42
handles-stainless steel or ti the same deminsions as the pc402 but a little longer for the longer blade and for a latch gate
counter sunk O8 O8 o:
the pins should be like the old pcs too cause who is going to switch blades u cant do it too many times or it will destroy the handles

basically just a bigger version of the 402 anybody agree with me

I've never seen a PC 402 but some of your ideas are cool.

I personally would not buy a double edged Bali due to personal safety, I would prefer Ti over stainless because I've seen the forks on stainless splay and cause alot of play. I personally like the removable pins on the 42 for a few reasons. One, I can adjust the tension WITHOUT a vise/anvil and hammer, if I do break the tip off of my blade for any reason, it can be replaced, and if I sent it back to BM, they could take the knife apart to make any necessary repairs. I don't know if they ever intended to make different blade styles that the USER could interchange, but maybe they've seen a few broken blades on knives and wanted to have a way of replacing them.

Perfect balisong?

3.5-4" weehawk tanto blade
SS Skeletonized handles w/latch gate
SS latch
Torx pins

Complete satin finish

P.S. If I ever get brave enough to order the custom balisong I have been speaking to a guy about, this is the plan

Well, I'd rather see a totally new bladestyle and handledesign IMO. I like the Ti handles, but maybe some G10 handles or another material would be nice. If I'm not mistaken it's possible to color titanium totally (like add pigments before melting and casting).
I thought about bamboo style handles, or perforated handles (like discbrakes) with very small holes.
A blade with a nice temperline would be nice too IMO.

the polished pins in the older pcs never really got that got loose and i forgot to say that the handles wold b drilled not cast

Hi:

Machinist's nightmare

Titanium handles knurled with points rounded for smooth flipping. long enough to accomodate a seven inch blade with big horns.

Horns: extend 1 1/2" on both sides of the blade curved upwards for catching an opponents blade but rounded ends to avoid pain while flipping.

Blade: seven inches long bowie style false edge 3 inches long and sharpened ( should give enough spine for safe flipping )

Spine covered with brass to catch an opponent's blade.
Blade made out of good old high carbon steel.
Batangas style latch
Whole thing covered in black TI
Kydex IWB sheath for left hander.
