True!

I got the Tenacious's little brother, the Persistence, and must say that it is shaping up to be the perfect EDC. Way to go Spyderco!

Great news!! I'm so happy you feel that way that I may just get a Tenacious to join in the celebration.

First you have to spend about 30 years minimum looking for the perfect EDC folder and then you will have a pretty good idea of whats there only to find out there is a whole bunch more out now so you have to look for 20 more years. Oh and you'll never find it. :D

Seriously you can start with that little Persistence folder Spdyerco just came out with. Its cheap, it works, and for the money it offers a lot of bang for the buck.

If you want to spend more you can find any number of good quality American made knives not much more money than that Spyderco from Kershaw and if you want spend more still around $100 or so you can get a BenchMade Axis Lock folder like the HK14210 which is a very nice silky smooth perfect sized EDC folder for anyone. This folder is one that screams of quality too! There are knives out there four times the price of this little knife with a lock not half as strong, not twice as reliable and that need break in periods to even begin to get anywhere near the silky smooth action 99.9% of these knives have right out of the box.

If you want to spend more the Bradley Alias is a super folder for a bit more money and comes in two sizes. I'd do the smaller one for an EDC personally.

If you want the best production folder made currently IMO get a small Sebenza. That would be my pick for the best EDC size from that company.

Ive never handled a Tenacious but its a linerlock, thus not one I'd like.

The best is really subjective, a good way to find is to have a survey.

Like this one: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=669622

From this survey's results, its a clear win for Sebenza in production folders.

That poll is moronic. Obviously the Sebenza is going to win, it costs 2-10 times as much as almost everything else on that list.

As far as a Tenacious vs Vex poll, somebody else can make one if they want, I already know what the result will be.

This is my EDC. It's awesome...holds an edge, great blade shape, FFG, easy opening, surprising build quality, and if you lose it, it's cheap enough to easily replace.

Well I dont have the money to spend on a Sebenza and I love the Spyderco line of knives, so to me, for the price and fit and finish, Ill just stick with my Tenacious and use the money that I save on other things. I know this sounds a little crazy but I have alot of knives that I love and I am a knife collector but for everyday needs and carrying, the Tenacious fits the bill. Like I said, thats me, Others may feel different.

Thought I was one of a small percentage of people that loved this knife. I try to carry other knives but something just calls to me with the Tenacious. It has all the points that a GREAT EDC needs i.e. four points pocket clip, full flat grind, lanyard hole, good gimping and a thumb ramp, G-10, very strong liner lock, and decent steel for the price.

I am a shameless knife-slut. Nixon was Prez when I thought a Vic SAK was 'it'. Then - a Buck 110. Back to the SAK - the 110 - then a 301 Stockman - the 110 - more SAKs - Kershaw Blurs - a dull BM 551 - Blurs - found the 110 - Spydie Native (WOW!) - custom shop 110s - Buck 347 - more BMs (SHARP!). I told you I was fickle.

Today, at church, I had a Kershaw 1993-2 Gentleman Folder - and a BM 760BK LTi. I change with the wind...

I don't know, something named 'Tenacious' just doesn't cut it, so to speak. Not available with pink scales, I hope...
