Well I think I have finally done it....found my perfect EDC knife. The Delica 4 with ZDP-189 steel and British Racing Green Scales.
The knife has everything I need, and everything I like all in one package. I won't go into a huge review on a knife that has been reviewed thousands of times before.
I like Delicas. I find it to be the perfect size for my everyday tasks. The ergos are a perfect fit for my hand. The moveable pocket clips are a must for all of us leftys. These are the reasons I like it.
Why do I love it? The ZDP slices like no other. It makes light cutting almost effortless and harder cutting much eaiser, and keeps the edge useable for an eternity. I love the color. Black knives usually draw more attention in an office environment so for me black is usually restricted to weekend or after work carry. The bright colors are not really my cup of tea either, so this subdued color is great. Finally, I love it because it's not typical. Some people call it "second type of cool". I like having something a little bit out of the ordinary.
I have a lot of more expensive, more exclusive knives, but this one seems to be the one I always reach for in the morning when I am gearing up.
Thanks for reading.
