First a hello to introduce myself.
I'm into knives obviously or I wouldn't be here and I'm a collector and user.
What is the perfect knife?
Obviously there is no one answer. It depends on your lifestyle, your personal preferences and what you use it for.
And even then it is hard to name just one. Sometimes I think it's the one I'm about to buy.
At the moment I am torn between: My Emerson La Griffe - it just feels so right in the hand and fills so many requirements;
A Spyderco cricket in steel with a dark grey, functional finish. I have three crickets but this one's the favourite, in part because It's small, so likely to be available in my pocket when I need it, it's relatively big knife performance, it's functional, no nonsence looks and in part because of the loud snap it locks with - the other crickets I own lack the sound effects, the only other knife I own that makes a similar noise is an Italian automatic of unknown make.
The last is a Ken Warner "Big Country" Hookr. A great outdoor knife that seems to be always sharp and ready to cut and chop anything.
The knife I use the most: the Leatherman micra on my keyring.
What's everyone else's idea of the perfect knife from their drawer.
