Any of you have that one knife you just love disappear. I mean you know the last place you had it and it simply is not there. ( I recently lost one of my favorite knives...I need to hear other peoples stories of pain and misery to feel better) Thanks. Also I need recommendations for a new knife something like the zt 300 but a little different. I'm up for any suggestions. Really looking a ti military or a Grayman Satu when they become available again. Please give recommendations.

I just realized today that a Benchmade I carry frequently is lost. I carried it on Monday, and I was going to carry it today when I noticed it was missing. Looked everywhere, but no dice. I hope it turns up.

i hear you on that , there is one more place I have to look but I don't have high hopes. But on the plus side it does give a reason to look at a new knife I just started researching lionsteel sr1 been wanting one for ahwile now i have a reason.

Mhmm , often
I fixed the problem by buying more knives , what has eventuated is that while Im looking for the knife that just vanished , I will inevitably find another knife that vanished sometime before and get sidetracked with that .
Expensive but it works

I followed this theory and left with titanium military yesterday. I don't even miss the zt. Until Monday when I go back to the spot I lost my zt with a metal detector.

To give some hope, I lost a knife in the Sierra Mountains on a backpacking trip. Went back 2 months later and found it. :D I wish you luck!

Yes, LONG ago I had a new crkt folder and suddenly disappeared, turns out a so called friend stole it to fuel his drug abuse.

For over a year I tried to figure out how it got lost since it never left my living room.

about a month ago I lost my cherished sebenza for a day and went nuts looking through my apertment. It was in the laundry basket whew!

Ive had several knives go walkabout over the years.
While it can be frustrating, if you need the knife here and now, I dont really mind it.
Because when the knife turns up, it puts a smile on my face and its like getting a new knife.
I see knives disappearing and turning up later as the poor mans knife presents!

Thats when it gets annoying.
I lost a mint condition German sheath knife many years and several moves ago.
Though I dont mind it, when a knife goes walkabout and turns up a while later, I do mind it when they are lost for good.
I strongly suspect, that a 'buddy' swiped the knife. Effing a-hole.
I mean, you just dont mess with another mans knife, wife, hat or vehicle.

I have frequently had a favorite (at the time) knife go "missing". Eventually, ALMOST all of them have eventually turn up.

The longest "vacation" any of my knives ever took was 27 years. My Kutmaster folder, advertising marked with "Pioneer Seeds", disappeared in 1969.

In 1996 (27 years later), when my parents finally got a new sofa-bed (bed never used in the 30+ years they had it), the knife fell out of the springs/mattress when we opened it to take the mattress out to make it lighter. A little compressed air, a little oil and elbow grease and it was ready to go again.

Yep after buying a 200$ metal detector I returned to the only area it could of been I have can.e to the conclusion it was stolen out of my truck. So to ease the pain I purchased a ti military. Wow I have been missing out.
