The pleasure of using a BK9

I grew some Gold Nugget pumpkins. These haven't been the sweetest pumpkins I've ever eaten, but they are good enough. I like them because they keep well (five months so far), and they grow a bit like a zucchini.... the plant is more of a bush than a heap of rambling vines... which is good when garden space is limited. However.... they have very hard skins and you have to be careful when you cut them up. They are no match for a big Becker though:

The BK9 made quick work of that pumpkin!

You just gave me an idea that I should have thought of myself. Spaghetti squash is another tough to cut vegetable. I've struggled with the regular kitchen chef's knife and have been concerned about not being in total control of the knife when messing with them. I'll bet the 9 will make quick work of it. I'll be using the King the next time, for sure.
