So there I was, taking a folder out of the pocket of my best jeans and I noticed little tendrils of denim stuck under the clip. Yet another pair of jeans falls victim to a pocket clip. Now all of my jeans look like a dog chewed my pockets! As I put my 277 onto my belt, I wondered why I ever thought that a clip knife was better.

Well, in honor of the sheath knife, I ordered a CSAR-T to cement the bond. I think that I will mount a worn pocket to the wall as a reminder of my clip ventures. (And yes, I am aware that the CSAR-T has a removable clip. :))

I still haven't managed to destroy a pair of pants with clips. I hate clips that are that snug, so I always bend them a bit to relieve some of the tension. ZT clips are gawdawful.

I feel your pain! You just have to buy more than one pair of pants per year! Kind of hard to do with so many great knives that need to be purchased!:)

Yeah, I pretty much quit clips a few years ago after never really getting into them.

Only use them once in a great while these days.

I can get away with carrying one of my BR Folding Kalingas almost all the time......and I do love to carry a beautiful knife.

So you edc a folding Kalinga? Nice! Do you pocket carry or use the sheath? That's one of the coolest sheaths buck makes IMO

BTW the pocket clip on the Csar is extremely tight. I think I am going to have to bend my out a bit.

What he said.....I dont use pocket clips but If I did, something would have to be done about this one to use:eek: Man it is tight, or was-mines been removed.

And that, guys, is why God invented the Cadet 303 stockman.

I remove all pocket clips from knives when they are acquired.
Just think they are not for me.

I remove the clips from pocket knives, turn the clip over, and feel for rough edges. When clips are fabricated, the upper die plate drags a burr onto the inside edge of the pocket clip. The clips are usually tumbled with grinding media to remove the burr, but the process isn't always 100% efficient. I use a small file or ceramic slip to chamfer the inner edges of the pocket clips before reinstalling on them on a knife. If you want to test your file job, pull an old nylon stocking over the tuned clip edge. While you have the tools out, feel around the edges of your knife for rough spots and file them smooth.

Some of em are down right pocket rippers! Not so with my Vantage Avid. Sure like the AG110 in a belt sheath as well.

Good tip, tiguy.
