the "post divorce pistachio pistolero"

Ok, been a while, here is my first "complete" knife as a once again bachelor

Blade is 9" hand forged 1084, handle is pistachio wood (yep, same as the nut), trim is nickel silver. Really wish i had more pistachio, that was my last piece, its nice to work with and a bit different in color. Anyhow, thanks.

Well, I can tell this is a really nice one, because I want it. That pistachio looks fantastic. A very nice basic Bowie with great lines and what looks to be excellent fit and finish. Truely, a very nice knife.

You never know. I certainly like this one enough to make it into an avatar. There is something about that pistachio that makes for a perfect handle for this knife. It seems that pistachio wood is not carried by very many exotic hardwood dealers.

My buddy Mongo has an old Lamey knife with Pistachio wood for the handle, and it is pretty nice.

I think the thing that is special about the Pistachio wood on this bowie is the grain flow.

Nice knife Matt. I noticed you changed your stamp... when did you do this? Any chance of getting pistachio again? That is one fantastic wood, nothing else looks quite like it.

Nice bowie! I really like the wood - nice grain flow and the lighter colour is a nice change of pace from the more frequently used darker (or darker-stained) woods. Nice job.
