 I have been eagerly waiting for my HRLM to arrive, and I finally used my DC number from Erics email only to find that the package was "delivered". The problem with that is that I was not home when it was "delivered", I have no package and no delivery attempt slip, this really sucks...........damn USPS. I called them and made a stink about it, they had better find it or they owe me a rat.

if it was delivered someone had to sign for it. Check w/ the post office. Or maybe the wife found out how much your knives cost and decided to play a mean trick.:D

Actually I've had many USPS package deliveries without signing for them. The only way you can come close to a guaranteed signature is paying for the sig. conformation and even that's questionable.

She wasn't home that day either, although if she was I wouldn't put it past her. She did not have a problem when I spent that much on a japanese chefs knife though :) probably cause I use it to cook dinner. Thanks for the input about having to sign for it, I have never ordered from the company store before. In the past I have come home from work to find a package sticking out between my storm door and front door getting rained on (like my 350$ paintball gun), did I also mention that I live in the city on the first floor right acroos from a bus stop, anybody could have walked away with it? I think I might go down to the post office and see whats up, If I had to sign for it they should have left a slip for me.

A signature is required. I sent you an email with some information. I won't go into detail on a public forum, but please read the email and let me know. It really wouldn't surprise me to find that is is sitting at the PO. I have often found that the packages show as delivered when they haven't been, with no slip left.

Always check with your local PO if you are expecting something and it doesn't arrive in a timely fashion.

Check your email and then we'll go from there ;)

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the email, still no Rat but I did everything I could for now.

Talk to you soon and thanks for the help, talk about outstanding customer service :D

Hi Eric,

talk about outstanding customer service :D

Expect nothing less when dealing with the likes of Eric, Skunk, Amy-0, Kendra, and pretty much everyone else from Busse, SRKW, or Scrapyard Dog. I have not heard of a "let down" yet. They are all great!!!

Hey MasterChief,

Sorry to hear this, I know it is frustrating. I had the same issue, via the USPS website my package showed Delivered this past Wednesday. I went to the local PO today and explained the whole process, they started a Search using the Tacking number. Later today on my way home I passed by my only Neighbor's house (I own a Farm with my closest neighbor being about 1.5 miles away) - lo and behold the Postal Carrier had "left" the package on his porch - even though it was an Insured package and required a Sig.

I think if you persevere you will locate this missing package. Good Luck.

Thanks for the friendly words fellas, between this forum, Eric, and my bottle of Makers Mark (ok ok and my keg) I will definitly be alright :p

don't worry, rats always find a way of getting into your home!

for the record, even though it was insured, my hrlm just got left without signature. it kind of irritates me, but not really since i'm never home to sign for insured packages anyways.

hang in there.

Swizzle,
Thanks for the info, for what it's worth I'd talked to your local PO about them leaving Mail that is insured and doing so without a signature. It would cause some real problems if it were ever stolen.

I had this happen last year with a high dollar knife and they refused the claim because they said it was delivered, even though they had no signature to prove it

I'm going to do the same. I've had both Busse and SR packages left on my porch. The postman does leave them between the screen and front door, so they can't be seen. Still, I'd rather miss the package and have to go to the P.O. That way, at least I'd be more assured that the package is safe.
