Oh, about 2 weeks ago during the first weekend of this month, a few of us got together and had a little survival training expedition. It wasn't anything too rigorous. We just wanted to get out into the hills and try some of the things that we all talk about. Mainly, it was just an excuse to get out and play with some of our toys--mainly our knives.
Terrill Hoffman (Knife Photographer)was the one who coordinated this event, and I have to say that I had a pretty good time. We had the chance to compare different knives, and how they performed at different tests. I was very impressed with the Camillus/Becker lines and how they performed while we were there. You can read about our impressions on a web page I have posted with pictures and a short write-up about the weekend. For you technoids out there, it's not chock full of specifications. It's just a little bit about the things we did and what our general impressions were. I think we're going to plan to do this again quite soon, and I think we'll have a more rigid schedule, and do some more detailed comparisons. This weekend was just mainly about having some fun, and learning some different survival skills as well.
The saddest part about leaving on Sunday was having to turn over the Cuda Talon 1 back to Terrill. He brought it along on the trip, and I confiscated it Friday and kept it with me all weekend. I loved this little knife. I plan on getting one at the end of this month.

Don't give me too hard a time about the page setup. I didn't have a lot of time to format everything perfectly on the page, but you get the general idea. I just wanted to get this out there for everyone to see.
I hope when we schedule our next weekend that more people will come out and join us. It was a lot of fun!!
