I recently decided to buy a Buck 110, but I was in no hurry. I looked on line and in several stores - Bass Pro Shop, Tractor Supply, Wal-mart and Dunham's. Wal-Mart was cheapest but I prefer to buy from smaller gun dealers is the price difference is not crazy. Prices ranged from $38 to $73! Finally bought one at Farm-N-Fleet for $33. So it makes sense to look around. That is a $40 difference from max to min.

Just curious, did it come with a leather sheath? The Walmart 110's come with nylon.

Leather! I had no idea and I'd have been irritated to get a nylon sheath. The knife is made in USA but the sheath is made in Mexico. Mexico is vastly preferable over China (to me).

I got my 110 at Wally world, with a leather sheath, but it was prolly 6 years ago. Under 30 bucks, too.

All the ones at my Wally World come with the nylon sheath and I think are around $38 now.

Not to get off the main subject but it was mentioned the leather sheaths being made in Mexico. It is a fact according to the most recent BCCI news letter. My mother bought a fantastic hand made leather purse in TJ by haggling the price to $6. That was about 1957 and it lasted for 15 plus years before it went to the dump.
Speaking of Mexico however, I was shocked when I was looking at the VIN sticker on my 2006 Dodge 2500 Cummins, it reads ASSEMBLED IN "MEXICO". In 8 years I have only had to replace the water pump (May 2014 and the factory batteries 2014). I would have to assume the work done in Mexico is equivalent to that of the US or perhaps better. This will most likely draw some criticism but just look at all the recalls on American made cars. It it nearly impossible to walk into any store and find something made in the USA. Every large chain store buys out of country. You would (will be) surprised to find how many items are not done in the USA.

Actually the leather sheaths are on another thread; having spent a lot of time in Mexico; there are varying qualities of leather there; I would hesitate to brag about quality of most things in Mexico tho and their lack of ethics. You can display a 100 fake Rolex anywhere in Mexico with no questions; drive across the border to
San Diego and they confiscate them all and they investigate you thoroughly.!

The local ACE hardware store advertised the 110 on Sunday at $39.99. When we got there today, a sign there put the price at $29.99. I joined the ACE rewards and was given a $3.00 discount. I walked out the door with my new 110, leather sheath, papers and the yellow box for 28.84 with tax. What a sweet deal!
