Probably been asked before, but has anyone ever watched the "Prisoner"?

Anyone remember when it was new in the 60's and the effect it had?

I had to Google the subject too see what was goin on about this TeeVee show. Sounds kinda interesting.
Here's a pretty good link...

Edit:
Use the frames off at the side to check out the introduction and Episode Guide.
I found the episode guide to be quite helpful in explaining it.
All in all sounds like a show I wouldn't have watched back when it came out.
I might now though, depends.

Most of my TeeVee watching occours on the History, Learning and Discovery channels. Along with Animal Planet and sometimes the new Spike Network for Men.;)
But I sometimes watch the Home & Garden channel too.
I'm still considering trying out the Dish Network rather than the Cox cable we still have. I would like to have the SciFi channel to go along with the ones I watch now.
The Science Channel would be nice as well from some I've heard about it.:D

Back to The Prisoner. The weather ballon would be a freaky spy mechanism now!!!!

As a child, I thought the Smothers Brothers Show, the Prisoner, Man From Uncle, and a few others, were part of a loosely associated group of revolutionaries.

My favorite show when it was on. PBS in New York had a Prisoner marathon back in the late eighties and I recorded every episode. Have to go back and watch them all again. Don't have much time though as I am the new #2. ;)

What about "Secret Agent"? (although I could probably have done without Johnny Rivers). Anything with Patrick McGoohan is OK by me (if it's OK bayou). His portrayal of Longshanks, in "Braveheart" , for me, overshadowed any one else in the movie (I loved it when he threw his gay son's lover out the window of the castle). And let's not forget "Silver Streak". ;-) "The Prisoner" was far ahead of its time, which is why I found it so surprising that it was so popular with a normally mindless, drivel obsessed American TV public. Maybe we could bring back The Prisoner and add Paris Hilton. <g>
