Is it just me or does it look rounded off?
I know at least one guy sent it back for a resharpening after he complained that the tip wasn't intact. My tips aren't perfect either. I think maybe it was just that the slightly less than perfect ones went to us, not to the guys that really needed them. Still, it looks more functional if it really is rounded off (it could just be the pic, but I don't think so)

That's a nice looking knife there!

The front edge does appear to have distinct curvature to it.

If this is the one I was just looking at, his description says it is a pic of another PT5 a friend sent him. Not the actual blade he is selling.

"The picture I am using to show what the knife looks like was sent to me by a forum member, and is the best picture I have found of the knife so I decided to use it."

To me it read as though it IS that knife, just that he didn't take the picture.

Second time through sounds as you describe. I stand corrected. :footinmou

Man, that front edge is pretty rounded eh?

Could be factory. Dunno.

A good price none-the-less.

it may be that it is indeed rounded, but keep in mind that there are 2 things about that photo that may be changing the normally straight looking edge into a visually curved one

its an extreme angle of the knife (sort of extreme, enough that it changes the appearrence of its true length), and the edge may have been located at the edge of the frame. from that you might get a slight rounding of the image as a whole, but you'd only really notice it on straight lines

combine that with the fact that the tip's sharpened edge is much larger then the sharpened edge near the secondary point (where the two straight edges meet), wich may add to the effect of a curvature

but then again, could just be that it is curved...

I can personally vouch that the one being sold is very very pointy.

David was great making a new sheath for this bad boy and together the package just looks awesome. The picture I have in my auction is NOT the picture of the knife I am selling. It is the same model, but I only used the picture so people could see what the knife looked like if they had not seen that particular Busse before. I received the knife in a partial trade in which the previous owner had bought it brand new from the factory and NEVER used or carried it. It has not had any work done to it ( re-sharpening, blade profile, etc. ). It has the traditional tanto style blade, all the edges are straight where they should be :). I hope that helps clear some stuff up, please PM me if you have any other questions!

Does no one like this knife? I thought for $250/ sheath it would already be sold!
That really is a pretty good price. Peter, I'd say GO FOR IT!!!

Was wondering what this was about until I checked the For Sale forum...
Of the 3 PT-5's I have handled, 2 had the point slightly "chipped" as it were. All were new/unused. I think it depends on how each is ground slightly different as they are ground by hand. HTH
