The "pucker factor" of some knives

Was talking with a fellow NCO and our 1SG, and we ended up on the discussion of knives (figure the odds). We talked about the younger soldiers choices of Buck, Spyderco, CRK&T, Benchmade, etc. when the 1SG made a comment about our Chaplain's knife. I kid you not, our Chaplain has a Spec Plus Tanto on his LBE that has at least an 8" blade. The 1SG made the comment about "pucker factor" of that knife.
Naturally, I pipe in "oh, that's nothing, I've seen some wazoo knives that you just can't explain"

Such as -
Ryan BioHazard
Jim March's Outlander (Outsider?)
Spydie Civilian & Matriarch
REKAT Hobbit & Al Mar Warrior
Szabo UUK & Mini UUK

Then it dawmed on me, and I did a search on the forums. All I pulled up was a majority of Biohazard pics & info. Thanks to Eric Bloch for that.

Question is this -

What knife/knives have given you that "holy sh*t!" feeling? Not the sheeple response to a Sebenza, I mean, the response from a knowledgeable knife user. Point blank, the knife with the most "pucker points".....

Lately, my vote would go to the Strider Tiger. Maybe its just me, but there is a definite pucker every time I look at a really good photo of it.

When I was younger, the Spyderco Civilian was "it". It had enough pucker power to scare my college roomate out at half semester. That was the point though, even though I hate to admit it!

Most of the people that I know seem to have quite a bit of "respect" for my REKAT Sifu when I whip it out and play with it.:D.

Most of the people that you know seem to have quite a bit of "respect" for your REKAT Sifu when you whip [what] out and play with it? (Just kidding dude - how the hell are ya?)

Knives with major "pucker factor" to me are:

Strider Tiger
Busse Battle Mistress
Szabo Jaws, UUK, saca tripas, and Kerambit
Cold Steel Vaquero Grande - ouch!
Of course the Biohazard
Rekat Sifu and Pocket Hobbit
Spyderco merlin, harpy, civi, and matriarch - fully serrated of course!

I guess things that influence my definition of "pucker factor" are blade shape, size (sometimes), nasty serrations, and just knowing what the knife is meant to be used for!

Spyderco Civilian, I can see the bits of intestine hanging from its serrations. That point it tapers to just looks like flesh would not even slow it down. I don't own one, have no need for such a knife, but I do enjoy holding one. The Gunting also has the same effect. Knowing what BRAM can do with that tool makes me respect it alot.

Ryan model's #1,2,3 & 5

Emerson Rhino

DDR 8" (I think) Madd Maxx he made for.....never mind, can't remember the name.

Szabo Saca Tripas - not the folder

That's all that's on my pea brain for now.

Some of Mike Franklins knives have that "Get that thing away from me" look to them.

I think I'd add the Spyderco Chinook to the list. It's not as massive as a Sifu or a Strider, but it definitely gets people's attention when you whip it out.

When sheeple gaze upon a khukuri (doesn't matter who made it), their sphincters tighten.

Anything that Waves.

There have been alot of knives across my desk, and through my life, with a high degree of pucker factor, but the the PROTOYPE I have now, takes the cake. Introduction due @ SHOTSHOW in Feb. Way Kewl...not for the weak at heart.

Will,

Please send me one of those new Camillus monsters so that I can test it out for you! (I'll even agree to post the test results at the Camillus Forum!).:D.:D.

I like the Al-Mar Warrior for pucker factor!

The REKAT versions are good, but the Al-Mar is a big beautiful piece of steel! :D

Of the knives I've handled, I'd have to say the Spyderco Civilian, for sure. I was afraid to even open the thing up. Just the thought of dropping it into my lap made me cringe . I knew I'd never use a knife like that, so I quickly traded it. Man! that was a beast!

I'm afraid to handle most anything fully serrated, but i'm trying to get over it.

Of course there are the usuals: Spydie Civilian (and Matriarch for that matter), Ryan Biohazard, Al Mar Warrior etc.
Believe or not, the Spydie Lum Chinese kinda scares me, the blade seems so thin that I feel almost like if I accidentally let the blade slip i'll be short a finger or two before I know what happened.

Another pretty wicked lookin knife in my opinion is the BK&T Brute, it's not the kinda of wicked that i'm afraid to handle, it just seems like it could REALLY do some damage if a little force and technique were applied.

To be honest, to me, the Spydie Gunting doesn't look very intimidating, it's really a knife built for people with more manual dexterity and basic agility than i'll ever have.

Lastly, there's the Spydie Chinook, which santa shall be delivering (ho ho ho), definetely a no joke knife, and will probably become my ultra hard utility use folder, looks like it could handle ANYTHING.
