Just wanted to share my latest knife with you all.
This is the first big knife I've forged in a long time.
And my first attempt at a recurve.
I forged this out several weeks ago but didn't finish it up until last week.
A fellow bladesmith and friend of mine has been having a pumpkin chop the last few
years after Halloween, so I wanted to get this done in time for that.
forged 1075
horse stall mat handle
micarta pins
copper tubing
14 3/4" OAL
It's really light in the hand and quick to slice.
Here are a couple in process shots.
pattern
forged and profiled
rough ground before heat treat
and done
but then i decided to make it all black
and a quick video of some cutting

and charlie killing a tiny pumpkin. you can see some of the carnage from his family on the ground.
