Everyone knows that RW Loveless is a great knifemaker but in the years past he also built custom 1911's and .22 field guns based off the Smith m-41/46 series. Here is one of the .22's. heavily modified Smith M-46. Enjoy.
I hope to shoot it over the next few weeks.

B&B....I can remember reading about his M41 mods in Gun World
in the late 70s........Mighy nice field conversion.

I'm an uncompromising fan of exposed hammers, and M41
accuracy...

Congrats..

There was one at the Vegas Antique Arms show in 2007 , I am pretty sure Matt Cuchiarra got picts of it. It was quiet a treat to see.

I have had the pleasure of playing with one of these at the Loveless Shop. I really liked the exposed hammer. Best I remember it had the Loveless "FootBall" logo on it.

Bob said that at one time, Smith & Wesson was thinking of putting it into production, but later decided differently. A shame. I would have been in line for one. Bob made me a price on the one he showed me, but OUCH!!! Out of my league!

BB,
You are my hero. Incredible, let us know how it shoots.
Thanks,

Very NICE indeed. I can imagine you can't wait to try it out.

Seems like you are as passionate (if not more so) about guns as knives.

Me too:D
