The rarest SOG ever can this be true

It is the rarest Special Operations Group knife designed and manufactured. The description is playing a word game between "SOG" the knife company and their namesake: The Special Operations Group during the Vietnam era. Buyer beware. The seller is also posting a description of the SOG Recon Bowie and showing images of the 20th Anniversary blade and stock images of non 20th anniversary of the SCUBA/DEMO. You can get a SCUBA/DEMO from a few different dealers on Ebay with the "Buy It Now" option for about the same price. Most regular Internet dealers sell for slightly or grossly higher depending on the dealer.

That's actually a common misconception. It stands for Studies and Observation Group. The following is from their own website:

SOG originally stood for Studies and Observation Group, an elite joint services military group designed for covert operations in the Vietnam War. Sanctioned to develop and purchase their own equipment, SOG created a knife for use in one of the harshest environments in the world. It is in the spirit of this elite group that SOG Specialty Knives was founded.
 
Thanks for clearing on the mistake on the original organization. I should have known better since I read several articles on the topic.
