I think Rat Cutlery should make some type of survival or tactical pry bar. There probably is not a very high demand for one but I personally could find a use for one, plus the added extra weight from one would make my hikes a better work out.

I thought that was what the RC-5 was??? :D

I consider my RC-5's (Thats right-I picked up a second!) to be a pry bar!

I haven't looked up any of the other manufacturers specs, but I am guessing these are thicker than most of the cop/firefighter prybar knives out there.

How about this?

I like my prybar for County Comms. Not too heavy, works well, lives in my CERT bag. Oh yeah, and it isnt all that pricey either :)

They have a video of someone modding it with a sharpened edge, but I carry a RC-3 so I didn't brother to sharpen mine. Worth a look.

Cheers!

Mmm-Hmm...biscuits and musturd, mmm-hmm...prybars and rat knives...E and E Kits some fellers carry round I reckun, Mmm-hmm...jes' waitin' for the escape pod form to open up an' swallerin' us whole down...allrightythen. :D

They're awesome. Get at least one and keep it near you at all times. :D

I have a few Wonderbars. Keep one in my bag most of the time. I find the Countycomm versions a bit small to be really useful, but they are cool.

I also have a Stanely Extreme Fubar. That thing is an absolute demolition monster. It's the size of a hammer, weighs about 4 tons and can run through just about anything found in residental construction short of a security door.

Cost me 40 bucks and I would have spent at least twice that replacing broken hammers had I not picked it up.

That rubber handle lasted about a week and the top was all mashed and mangled. I cordwrapped it and it's holding up just fine.

Actually I have found the Countycomms bar just about prefect for popping open stuck office doors, or things like that. And it is work friendly, verses some of the big prybars out there. The keyring wiggly bars are a novelity thou.

I like my fubar a lot, and just saw that Stanley is now making a slightly smaller Fubar, I think the smaller size might be better to carry in the truck.
