Hi guys thanks for having us be a part of the Forum! We are the guys from Warwood Tool Co. and Warwood Tactical. There has been some buzz about our sledge hammers in this forum in the past. Check out our Relic Tactical Tomahawk. We think you guys will dig it. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. It's good to see an American tool maker get back into making chopping tools.

Do you think axes or hatchets will be added to your line anytime soon?

I must warn you, there are two sides to this specific forum, axe guys and 'hawk guys and we mix like oil and water.

i saw their post in the sledge thread, apparently they do all the work by hand, no robots. even council tool uses a few robots.

Does that hawk look 'worked by hand' to you? What poor sap do they have hand-filing all that millwork into that thing?

All by hand. Bullshit. Never believe that out of any volume manufacturer.
They may use 'hands' to load their cnc tombstones, but I'd say that's the extent of it outside packing and sharpening.

I must have missed where they* said their Relic Tactical Hawk was all hand forged.

*They being Warwood and not a commenting member here on the forum.

guys use some common sense. the bit and point are ground by hand and isn't done by a machine. that kydex sheath ain't done by machine either. i'm not saying that that alone makes it 5 times more expensive that an estwing that is probably nearly completely done by a robot.

anre, the video that i refer to, they show their facility. the 2 automated machines they have are a bandsaw and a tumbler to clean forge scale

This is 9 years old video, so by now Estwing might have streamlined the production.
