What, exactly, happens when you tap the report button? I have never used it, just curious. To whom does the report go to, and what happens from there? Please don't tell me that it goes to a man behind a curtain. :D

I have used it a couple of times to report obvious spam. Shortly afterwards the person reported was banned. To date I haven't seen any mushroom clouds after pressing the little "!" icon but I don't really get out a lot. I would like to point out I also didn't get any cash deliveries after pressing the button either...

Without wanting to hijack Strig's thread, I have a question related to this too: if the report button is used in cases where the issue is subjective (trolling for example) and the Mod doesn't agree, will we find out? I only ask because I'd rather learn from my mistakes than continue making them :)
 
The report button creates a thread in the moderators sub forum with the post that is out of line. We can then discuss it if it is borderline or send an automated warning or infraction if warranted.
 
Very good. Thanks! I thought that if I were to target the mods, the issue would go straight to w&c for review. Guess I'll re-think that. :p
