I carried this one for years. My 7 dot 63032.I bought it new in 82. Anyone have one? This knife is funny. Sitting on the dresser I had to lay it on it's side because if it was on it's back, it would rock back and forth and chatter at every footstep or vibration.I can take it and spin it on the table and it will rock and spin.A light touch and it will spin perfectly balanced for like 15 seconds. Just strikes me funny now. It's going in my pocket tomorrow.

I was just sittin here sharpening an old Schrade 340t that I got about a year ago. SO, I did the same thing you did with your Case...
Yep, It sits there and spins... Does this mean we have way to much free time ???

Yup.Life is good.

I always kept it clean, and Buck knife oiled.I love CV.If my camera wasn't so crappy I would take a picture of my initials I carved into the bone on the other side.It still walks and talks like new.Partly because of the way I sharpened it,but I used most of the belly in the pen blade, It became most useful with that shape after a while.

Shame on you for retiring that knife. it has decades of service still in it!:D

Take it out and use it.

What a beautiful knife. What is your sharpening technique?

My old 6232 will spin like that. It's a 2-blade jack, not a stockman, but looks almost the same as yours.

Couple of draws on a medium whetstone, then hard Arkansas.Small blade I used the corner of the stones.Good peeling blade. In general I tend to keep them away from stones as much as possible.I've nerver kept my knives really sharp, with the exception of maybe one blade like the pen.I find they do their job.Medium whetstone sot of gives the blade a serrated affect.
