Hello

I lost my HD last week and bough a whole new PC today (it was more than time, by the way!), along with a new scanner (mine broke two years ago...), so I decided to try my new toy scanning a few of the knives I have been working on lately.

From top to botton:

A drop point model with ipê wood handle slabs

A KAAH (Kiridashi and a Half) with louro faia wood slabs

A Hawkbill KAAH with pau brasil wood slabs

Two Kiridashis, the first with cunduru wood and the second with ebony slabs

Blades are all K-100 (D3) tool steel, chisel ground and finished to 60 grit. All have had the handles resin soaked after the cord wrapping. All were lots of fun to make and they look just like my knives!!! :D
Let me know what you think - of the knives - not of the quality of the ugly scan!

And here is a scan of the handles only, so you can take a better look at the woods. The ipê and louro faia are particularly striking and this image does not makes them justice at all.

Looks good to me. You had me really worried when I read HD, the first thing that came to mind was Harley Davidson.

Great to see you and your knives back here Ivan!

Cool, look like they could take a pounding. Realy like the cord wrap, one of these days I'm gonna have to try to figure that out.

Thanks for your comments, gentlemen!
IG, I haven´t even learned to ride a bike, unfortunatelly... on the other side, considering the things I did when I was on my early twenties, that was a good thing, because it kept me alive. :D
Will, the cord wrapping is easier than it looks, but hard to explain. Give it a try and you will be making them in no time at all.
