Good news guys, Mike called me this morning from Colorado and says he is gearing up and right now is making some fixed bladed knives and will be working up to some folders.

His email address is
MikeIrie@aol.com

Or you can give him a call at 719-572-5330

He will be setting up a web page sometime, and is just getting used to his new computer. I told him to get out here to Bladeforums and look around a bit and join in on the fun...

Welcome back Mike...

You are welcome guys, hmmm that post topic sounds like the title of a Western Movie?

Check out Mike and give him a call or an email, he would sure like to hear from all of you I'm sure.

Quick Update: spoke with Mike this afternoon. He's having a devil of a time getting his new computer working, but said it should be straightened out very soon. He will then be able to post pics and generate various flyers, etc.
Drop him an email or give him a call. He's a super-nice guy and he loves to talk knives.

Here is one of the Many Sport Series that Mike makes, this one has the older style blade shape, the newer model 400 has a more traditional Sheepsfoot blade shape, very nice blade and good size...

Blade is right around the 3" mark, stag is very nice....
Glad to hear he is bouncing back so soon!

The grinding that Mike did on the Wood/Irie swing lock folders that I have is some of the best I've seen. The grind lines are extraordinarily even and sharp. The guy is a outstanding knifemaker.

Mike sent this knife, nice Hawkbill blade, notice the grooves near the tip for more blade point control or for pressing down with the point, nice touch...and nice stag on this as well.

Just heard from Mike and he is creating some new knives, larger than the regular Sport Series, with numbers like 102, I think they will be around the 4" blade length or so, still with stag handles.....

I contacted Mike Irie right after I saw G2's thread here. With the NYCKS and Christmass I told Mike I wouldn't be able to do anything until after the New Year.

Well, the new year is here and so is my SPORT 500 by Mike Irie.

I've met Mike several times at knife shows, great guy, beautiful work, and at prices that you will think he's kidding.

Mike, I'm sorry it took me so long.
G2, thanks for the heads up.
