Knatchet! I will be offering the Knatchet again, available in handle choices of oak ($200.00), green, tan, and black canvas micarta ($210.00), and in orange G10 ($220.00).

Some of pitdog`s photos of the Knatchet in action.

It's good to see this offered again. I don't use mine often enough, but I love it when I do. It's one hell of a blade and is more useful than most people seem to think.

This is great news, I really have enjoyed my Knatchet since I bought it.

You can notch, cut, chop and even slice with it; much more versatile than either a hatchet or knife by themselves.

Glad to see you back making Pit's original design!

Here is a picture of mine back before I used it-

I`ll be ordering materials for the two I got orders for late this week. If anyone else wants one, let me know by Wednesday, and I will order extra steel.

Don't miss out this time guys, who knows if/when John will stop again !

Check out this section of Fatwood I chopped out using my Knatchet, this fatwood was like chopping at stone and yet there was not the slightest hint of edge damage after !

Don't forget to ask for the HornyToad sheath. This one is by Noah but John could probably do one like it.

Glad it's working out for you! I've made a couple Knatchet sheaths, now, and they are beastly--definitely effective choppers but I was also able to skiv leather with one.

Im bumping this thread because I am SO HAPPY that the knatchet is back and just placed my order for one this morning. Thanks so much for bringing this beauty back for us.

One question though, is the jimping sharp enough to spark a firesteel?

I can make sure it is!

I have a baldric with mine, NoahL did a great job with it and the sheath. You will love it. This is a utilitarian blade, you can choke up on it or chop with it. Enjoy.

I hope Noah begins making sheaths again someday soon.

I actually did start up again, albeit very slowly--I've been going back through emails from people I had told to wait and then I've gotten a couple that were referrals from friends, and once I finish with them I had planned to be officially back up and running. Unfortunately, my wife's mother was just diagnosed with breast cancer so my leatherwork will probably slow down again because we will have to travel back to Illinois to be with her during her treatments. Still, if things go well with her I should be back in the leatherwork business soon. I'm glad you guys are happy with the sheaths and those Knatchets are definitely awesome blades!

I have time my friend.

best
