What begun with my BAS finished with my BAS. Yesterday I "packed down" the christmas tree. I live in an apartment so I had to "dismantle" the tree an put in a black garbage bag. So the tree went up after beeing shortened with my BAS and it went down after beeing de-branched and cut in pieces by my BAS.

It's amazing what a powerful blow you can direct with just a small movment of the arm.
I used it split firewood too.(Not in my apartment)I wasn't able to split larger pieces but smaller ones went apart. And when it came to making the small firestarter-sticks, it was wonderful.I've also used the chakma with a joukka-stick (a flint, but larger)to make fire.I've been thinking of replacing he karda with a joukka stick or round keramic hone.(a good folder will do the fine jobs better).

I also made a cover in OD canvas for the scabbard. Didn't want to damage the nice scabbard. It got really nice.I'll try to take some pics wich I can post.

Best regards
Daniel

Daniel --- Do you have a 15" AK? It performs better ...

! How's the temperature down there? I watched in TV news people in Mongolia, China are suffering from extreme cold weather that cause many casualties to human and farm animals as well ...

NEPAL HO!

I used my WWII to fit the tree into the stand this year. We don't usually take our tree down until after easter, but I'm sure I'll use the same khukuri (if not my 15" AK, which is still my favorite) to chop it into firewood.

I'm pretty sure the sounds of me chopping wood in our apartment wasn't what led our downstairs neighbors to move away, but I'm going to keep it up just in case!...

I dont know about Mongolia but here its about -6 degrees celsius. Nice and clear,no snow. Its about as long between Sweden and Mongolia as it is between Malaysia and Mongolia. We have the gulfstream(warm) to ease up the chill.

How is Malaysia these days?
