After losing my DM custom I was in the
market for another DM. I was aware of the River Hawk and ordered one. A 4 in. Handle which is perfectly hand filling and a 3 in. Hawk Bill blade I thought that's what I want. I received it today and put it to work.
And I love it ! I set it up horizontal carry over my lf pocket.

Plz discuss the River Hawk here.
One question I have is Sheathing the knife, it feels like it could dull the knife if done wrong ? Opinions plz
I did test it on Cardboard. Whaaat ! It's amazing !

My River Hawk is a cardboard terminator supreme!

Only available here: http://www.newriverknifeworks.com/knives/davidmarycustom2.html
Agreed ! I have a large Composter and cut a lotta Cardboard into smaller pieces before adding it to the Composter. It just works ! The blade shape helps keep me from cutting out of the Cardboard, and needing to restart the cut. Same for packing tape.
I think I'm going to send off for a Horsewright leather canted Sheath over my L.F. pocket for RH. Draw. And maybe a leather Sheath Adapter from Gary Graley for vertical carry like my last DM had.
I will then have multiple carry options. The lost knife. And the new knife shown below.Screenshot_20230314-153726.png

Anyone else have a RiverHawk? I would love to see how you carry it and hear your thoughts on it.
