Nice knife!
I also like the S guard for protecting the hand.
But I also like having a D guard for the lower portion of the S which offers a little more protection with striking capability. A knuckles type D guard, as on an Argonne, is even better for striking, but, incredibly, not legal in sme jurisdictions ( you can have a knife but combining it with "brass knuckles" makes it dangerous!?)
On the other hand, a well executed S guard is downright beautiful, like the one pictured.
Beautiful knife!

I like this piece.

Nice overall design.

Outstanding handle shape. Seems very comfortable. Makes you want to pick it up.

Nicely executed "S" guard. Personally I just don't care for bluing. Not durable enough for me.

Nice Damascus pattern and spearpoint blade.

The ferrule adds to overall.

I like the spanish notch as I think it fits the piece.

I would have preferred this knife with about an inch longer blade and without the bluing to the guard. The bronze looks out of place to me as well. I like the pattern in the steel, the spear point, the S-guard and the handle shape.

Heehee. This is why it's so great to have so many with different tastes on the forum. My opinion differs from Keith. I like the blue and the bronze. Makes a nice color combination with the black handle.

I see your point Keith regarding the blade length. I agree.
Momo, what are the BL & handle length? I would guess 5" handle / 6" blade.

the blade doesnt do it for me. I really love the handle and the gaurd. However, to me I just would want to see a different blade style on it and maybe a little longer too. I really like that knife and the damascus is great it just seems like there is something missing to me. This is in no way a slight against your knife and if your happy thats all that matters.
