The San Mai VG1 vs VG10 steel core pro's & con's?

Looking up the pro's and con's to these two San Mai offerings, gets one a lot of mixed, often contradicting info.
I know that the VG10 is considered a higher grade of steel over the VG1, but how do they compare to each other under real life use?
What is the scoop on this, guys? Thanks in advance 😊

In actual use I haven't seen much difference. I've managed to chip both, repair both, sharpen both.
I did have a 2006 CS Voyager in VG1 monosteel and I found it's edge retention much better than my older Aus8 ones.
